What to expect:
On Tuesday 12 May 2025, the Australian Federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers handed down a Federal Budget with proposed changes that have broad implications for the Australian life sciences industry. Join us for a discussion around the 2026-27 Federal Budget impacts and actions that life science businesses can take to prepare for the proposed tax and R&D reforms.
The session will focus on a practical discussion around what is proposed, what to watch, and what businesses can do now to plan for the proposed changes. This will include a macro-level view of the 2026-27 Federal Budget and NSW State Budget measures, the impacts that the proposed tax reforms will have on businesses within the life sciences, and how this all fits into the context of Australia’s broader innovation system.
There will be a short presentation followed by a panel discussion.
